Data Deletion Requests

To request the deletion of your data from Read the Room, you can:

• Use the in-app “Delete My Data” option in Settings
• You can delete your own posts (i.e., questions you ask) individually from within the app itself by opening the post and clicking the trash icon in the top right corner.
• Email us at [email protected] with the subject “Data Deletion Request” if you have any issues.

We will process your request within 30 days.

When you request data deletion, we will:

• Remove your anonymous device identifier
• Delete any questions you’ve posted from our servers.
• Remove any feedback you’ve submitted from our servers.

To protect your privacy and prevent unauthorized deletion requests, we may need to verify your identity. This typically involves:

• You being logged-in (authenticated) on the device you used to make the posts and then requesting the data to be deleted via the Settings screen.

After your data is deleted:

• You will receive a confirmation notification.
• Your device will be treated as a new user if you reinstall the app
